FC Dynamo Moscow is expected to receive 3 billion roubles from VTB Bank as part of a sponsorship contract, according to the public procurement website, amid financial troubles that have plagued the team over the past time.

The club may use the funds to prepare for the games and will in exchange offer advertising services to the second-largest lender. VTB Bank will also receive the status of the general sponsor and the club’s official bank.

The contract is expected to last until December 31, 2016.

Dynamo Moscow is currently placed 11th in the Premier League, with 20 points in 18 matches.

Earlier, Russia-IC reported that Dynamo Moscow was beefed up by six Anzhi players who moved to Moscow after the Makhachkala club made a sudden U-turn on its ambitious strategy.

Igor Denisov, Yury Zhirkov, and Alexander Kokorin, with a total reported worth of 45 million euro, had to change their career plans after Anzhi owner Suleiman Kerimov decided to cut his investment into the club and sell off the stars, focusing on local players.

Later Dynamo Moscow also bought Vladimir Gabulov, Christopher Samba and Alexey Ionov, reportedly for 18 million euro.
However, the club was forced to part with many players, including Mathieu Valbuena after UEFA banned the side from Europa League for breaking financial fair play rules.

“Dinamo had been under investigation for overspending after the club spent more on player transfers and wages than its football-related revenue in 2014 financial accounts,” says ESPN FC.

Just ahead of this season’s launch, Stanislav Cherchesov was suddenly replaced with Andrey Kobelev, who pushed to cut costs and bring in young players.

Dynamo have slid into the mid-table and is currently facing an unpleasant possibility to move into relegation zone.

VTB Bank is Dynamo's long-standing main sponsor, building its stadium and developing the nearby area in central Moscow.
