Travel service Tripadvisor named Kaliningrad the fastest growing destination in the world in 2020, and St. Petersburg, Moscow and Sochi entered the top 35 of the best European destinations.

      To determine the leaders, such parameters as an increase in the number of positive reviews from travelers about hotels, restaurants and attractions, as well as an increase in the number of reservations and search queries about a destination were analyzed.

      Kaliningrad headed the Top 25 of the fastest growing destinations - the interest of tourists in the city has increased many times since the introduction of electronic visas for citizens of 53 countries since July 1, 2019. 

      Other fastest growing destinations include Rugen Island in the Baltic Sea (Germany), Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam, the coastal community of Monopoli in Italy, the Mexican city of La Paz and the Caribbean island of Curacao.
