The Governor of Leningrad Oblast Aleksandr Drozdenko has commissioned the Tourism Committee to develop routes adapted to the validity term of the electronic visa and the interests of travelers from border countries.

      It is planned to develop both short and long routes. The first ones will be designed to introduce the travelers to the sights near automobile checkpoints (tours to Vyborg with a visit to the Vyborg castle, tours to the Ivangorod fortress and Koporye).

      Long-term routes designed for longer periods of time will include tours to Staraya Ladoga, Gatchina, Tikhvin and natural parks of Leningrad Oblast.

      According to the press service, beginning from October 1, tourists from 53 countries are able to come to the Leningrad Oblast using an electronic visa.
