The building in Gorno-Altaysk (Altai Republic) that once was the shop of the merchant David Tobokov in the 19th century, is being renovated to become a tourist attraction.
In order to preserve and restore the shop of the merchant Tobokov built in the first decade of the twentieth century, a lease agreement was signed. This building was built by the merchant Tobokov in 1887. He used it as a shop
. During the Soviet years, the building was nationalized and transferred to the state trade agency. It is noted that later the building was a household goods store, and in 1981 a capital repair of the building and its modern decoration were carried out. This object is assigned to immovable historical and cultural monuments of local importance and is protected by the state.
