A sensor system that will be installed on public transport in Novosibirsk, can give a real time three-dimensional picture of air pollution in the city.The author of the invention is Alexander Grif, a student of the Applied Mathematics and Informatics Faculty of the Novosibirsk State University. "The system analyzes traffic streams real-time, as well as simulates the amount of impurities in the air, taking into account the terrain and meteorological situation. Data from the simulation and data from the sensors will jointly give a general picture of air pollution» - he said. According to him, the level of concentration of harmful substances can be monitored using a Web portal with the Novosibirsk map posted.
