The “Past Dyavola” (“Devil’s Mouth”) Waterfall (Psechiako) is located in the vicinity of Goryachiy Klyuch, in the upper reaches of the Maltsev Brook. The waterfall has four cascades, its overall height amounts to 23 m.


Belaya Kalitva is the largest of the small towns of Rostov Oblast. The town is immersed in greenery, it is mainly a single-storey town among low hills covered with gray feather grass, it may seem a large Cossack village (which is historically the truth).


The Khrebtovaya Mountain is located on the territory of the resort town, it is the highest point in the watershed of the Kaverza River and the Brook of the Orlova Gap. Its height: 649 m. Rock outcrops come to the surface on the southern slopes.


Tsentarlny district hosts the most part of the iconic Sochi: The Winter Theatre, Seaport, Railway Station, Art Museum, “Riviera” Park and the “Bocharov Ruchei” residence in New Sochi, Sochi Arboretum, as well as the famous Soviet-era hotels “Zhemchuzhina” and “Svetlana” located a little to the south, on Vereshchaginskaya side (this district is better known as Svetlana) in Khostinsky district of Sochi. Sibai quarry ranks second in the world by its depth after Chile’s Chuquicamata.


A large industrial town of Sibai lives on ore mining, and its main attraction is the quarry for copper extraction striking with its size.


The town derives its name from the features of the local landscape: here massive rocks of spur of Salair mountain range come to the earth surface.


Salavat located in the very heart of Bashkiria is an oil city. Oil literally feeds and nurses it. Thanks to it, Salavat is considered the most favorable small city of Bashkiria.


Sibay quarry belongs to private secure facilities, so it is impossible to easily approach it.


The town of Bakal located in the South Ural is from all sides surrounded by mountain ranges and iron ore quarries, the most part of which have already been drawn up, which is not surprising: Bakal mines (currently — “Bakal Mining Administration” LLC) is one of the oldest Urals companies engaged in iron ore mining.


The most famous page of the history of Degtyarsk contains the ill-fated flight of Francis Powers.


The name of “Zyuratkul” is often translated as “Heart Lake”, but this is true only in part. Until early XX century, the Lake had been called differently: Yurak Kul, and the neighboring Ridge was called Yurak-Tau, “Heart Mountain”.
