(Source: https://everything.kz/article)

Yakhroma was recognized as a city in 1940, and 70 years later it became a major ski resort in the Moscow region. Yakhroma includes two villages, connected by a bridge. You can try skiing, snowboarding or tubing on local tracks and then plunge into  additional entertainment - examine the dilapidated manufactory, Trinity Cathedral and the famous gateway No. 3, decorated with Columbus' copper caravels.

How to get to Yakhroma

Only 47 km separate the Moscow Ring Road from Yakhroma. The path lies along the Dmitrovskoye Highway (A-104 highway) in the direction of Dmitrov. After 42 km from the Moscow Ring Road, the road passes the bridge over the railway tracks. Next, you need to drive another 4-5 km before turning to Yakhroma. You can leave your car in Yakhroma on a free parking.

Bus number 401 runs from the Altufyevo metro station to General Kuznetsov Square and then on to Dmitrov. The journey without traffic jams takes an hour, the ticket costs about 155 RUB. Trains to Yakhroma depart from Savelovsky railway station in Moscow. On average, the journey time to the ski town is 1 hour and 15 minutes, the cost of the trip is 154 RUB. Residents of the suburbs can take the train in Kubinka, Odintsovo, Zvenigorod, Golitsyno. From the platform "Yakhroma" buses and minibuses number 9 go to the town, a ticket costs 30 RUB.

Park "Yakhroma"

10 tracks of the park "Yakhroma" provide an opportunity for skiers of any level to show their skills. On the slope number 1 there is a training area, equipped with a baby elevator and a viewing platform for parents, and a tubing park with jumps and zigzags. Here is the rental of tubing. On the second slope,  beginners will feel more comfortable, you can reach it on the drag-lift. The slope number 3 is designed for advanced skiers, its length is 259 m, elevation difference is 50 m. Various competitions are regularly held on it, including the Russian Cup. The 4th slope, which is suitable for extreme skiing, is distinguished by the greatest length (600 m) and elevation difference of 60 m.

In addition to skiing, the park "Yakhroma" offers a variety of attractions in the amusement park. Toboggan (the first in Russia) is a rail track with bends, along which self-propelled carts move, accelerated by the weight of the riders.

Ski pass

Ski pass costs from 200 RUB for 5 lifts on weekdays to 300 RUB on weekends; the price of unlimited ski pass on weekdays is 800 RUB, on weekends it is 1500 RUB. If you plan to ride in the park "Yakhroma" regularly, then the most economical option would be a club card, including ski pass, rental, toboggan, tubing and entrance ticket to the aqua center for 31,000 RUB for 6 months. You can buy a card only for a ski pass (4500 RUB for 30 days) or a lift plus rental (15 500 RUB per month).

Everything you need for skiing and snowboarding can be rented. Renting a complete snowboard or ski set costs from 700 RUB for the first hour and from 300 for each next.

Hotels in Yakhroma

In Yakhroma, you can choose hotels near the slopes, in the ski park itself, or settle in the city, saving a decent amount. Sports Park offers accommodation in hotels and cottages. An economical double room in Nirvana costs 7000-10000 RUB per night in the summer and 10 000–15 000 RUB in the winter.   You can move into a cottage from 7000 RUB for two (during the ski season) or in a luxury cottage - for 10 000 RUB. In urban hotels, accommodation is more budget and there is no   price increase when snow falls. A couple of guests can rent a room for an average of 1500-4000 RUB.

Apres ski

You can grab a bite between races or relax after a day of skiing in a bistro, two restaurants and three bars. Despite the fact that the restaurant Boyarsky is luxurious and decorated in the Baroque style, the prices here are quite reasonable. But the restaurant “I-Pasta” is more democratic, serving Italian cuisine (there is a children's menu). A small pizza costs 290-600 RUB, a 3-course dinner for one (salad, hot, dessert and coffee) - from 1150 RUB. Bistro "Carousel" is decorated in an eclectic style (anime characters on snowboards adorn the ceiling) and offers a large selection of dishes from Russian and Ukrainian cuisine.   Large companies   rent a cozy grill house "Troll", which has everything you need to make kebabs.

Events in the park "Yakhroma"

The park periodically hosts various winter festivals. Regular ones include Audi Stars Cup, Volkswagen & Audi Festival, BMW Festival car races.
