The solemn opening of the “Zauralysky Forest” eco-trail was held at the eponymous specially protected natural complex of local significance.
The “Zauralysky Forest” protected natural complex was established in 2017. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that, regardless of the constant influence of human activities, natural appearance and a high degree of richness of flora’s species is still preserved. Explore Russia - Book Tours Here
In order to minimize the distortion of the natural landscape, the route of the ecological path was laid along the existing trail network. According to experts, this will prevent the degradation of soil and plant communities of the specially protected natural area.

The Path
The length of the ecological path is 1.5 kilometers. It covers almost the entire territory of the natural complex, its area being 5 hectares.
The trail has 18 stations where visitors can learn about the trees of the Trans-Ural region, the uniqueness and diversity of the local flora, the Red Book objects, the dangers of the forest, pests and diseases of the forest.
Some stations have places for recreation - benches, wooden sculptures, as well as bird houses and bird feeders.
As it is noted, 12 species of plants listed in the Red Book of Kurgan Oblast and 9 species of plants included into the annex to the Red Book grow on the specially protected natural area.
There are also plants listed in the Red Book of Russia: Orchis militaris, Cypripedium macranthon, Epipactis helleborine. The “Zauralysky Forest” ecological trail is located close to the turn to the “Topolya” microdistrict.
This route is a universal tourist product designed for different age groups, according to the press release.
