An ecological trail “Mailnovaya Zaseka” (“Raspberry Field”) was opened on the territory of Yasnopolyansky district forestry. The trail begins with a picturesque glade on the edge of the forest near the village of Kosaya Gora.

It includes routes of different topics: the flora and fauna of the Tula fields, the mythology of the Eastern Slavs, geology of the locality with the history of development of iron ore extraction and of metallurgical industry.

The project is being implemented on the initiative of the regional branch of the “United Russia” party and the “Mishenskoye” cultural and educational foundation. The project received the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tula Oblast and was included in the regional plan of events of the Year of Ecology. One of the routes passes through the places where active mining of iron ore for the needs of metallurgical enterprises took place 100 years ago. While hiking, you will be able see the dumps left from the mines, conglomerates of iron ore. The infrastructure of the eco-trail involves the equipment of recreation areas, garbage collection, information signs (announcements) and traffic signs, as well as small architectural forms.
