Wild Western Festival 2008 will take place on the territory of the horseracing-tourist base Avanpost in Mozhaisk town near Moscow on the 14th of June 2008. The horseracing base has over 70 horses, a spacious cowboys` saloon, a proper place for holding rodeo and horseracing competitions, and even a small zoo.

For the first time Wild Western Festival took place in Russia in autumn 2007 and caused high interest in people of different ages, horseracing professionals and amateurs, historians and re-enactors. In 2007 over 2000 people attended the event.

12.00 – 12.30 Official Opening of Wild Western Festival 2008

13.30 – 15.30 BIG WESTERN GAMES – horseracing competitions amongst professionals

16.00 – 17.30 INDIANS POW WOW – national Indian dance contest

18.00 – 19.30 COWBOY RODEO – real rodeo, where everyone can participate

20.00 – 23.00 COUNTRY MUSIC CONCERT – concert of famous country music bands

23.00 – 23.30 Festival closing ceremony

During the whole festival there will be organized multiple national master-classes, including horse-riding master class; a great number of national amusements, games and contests; a playground for children, lectures about history, culture and traditions of Wild West; a cowboys` Saloon where it will be possible to taste national drinks and food.

«BIG WESTERN GAMES»

The festival starts with traditional exciting horseracing competitions “Western” amongst professionals. The competition will be held in three categories: Flag Racing, Trail, and Pole Bending. Skilled horse-riding, speed, and passion will bring much a lot of emotions to the guests.

«INDIANS POW WOW»

POW WOW – is a national Indian dance contest with participation of the best re-enactors of the Native American Indians` culture from all around Russia and the CIS countries. Great costumes, created in accordance with original models using the traditional technologies, and beautiful dancing will leave no one untouched.

«COWBOY RODEO»

Only at Wild Western Festival 2008 all guests will be given an opportunity to participate in real rodeo despite the level of their riding skills. Participation in rodeo is free of charge. Winners will get worthful prizes and gifts, one of which is a trip provided by “Russia Discovery”.

«COUNTRY MUSIC CONCERT»

The last even of the festival is a country music concert. Amongst its participants performing at the stage of the Saloon will be Kukuruza band, Apple Jack, Sunrise, Johnny Bravo, etc. Also for guests there will be organized Grassons Show and country disco.
