When searching for non-standard travel routes, pay attention to the new Russian cities, which have recently appeared on the map, and are already interesting to tourists. Although they cannot boast of ancient churches and temples, there are unique monuments of modern urban culture here.

1. Innopolis, Tatarstan

Innopolis is located 40 minutes from Kazan. It was originally conceived as an “IT village”, and in 2014 it officially received the status of a city. The opening ceremony of the new geographical unit took place in the summer of 2015. Although there are so far only two streets and one boulevard, even a sophisticated tourist will find something to please the eye with.

This modern architecture is created exclusively in the style of techno and high-tech. There is a surprisingly beautiful sports complex here, and underground passages, more reminiscent of a museum of modern art. You can get to Innopolis by free buses from Kazan.

2. Magas, Ingushetia

Madas is a little over 20 years old, but its name is almost 2000 years old: that was the name of the central city of the ancient state of Alanya. The village was located in a beautiful mountain gorge, which Tamerlan could not conquer, according to legend.

The main attractions of Magas are breathtaking. A 100-meter tower rises in the central square, from which even neighboring North Ossetia is visible at a glance. And at the entrance to the city, guests are greeted by the majestic Alan Gate. All services are provided at the highest level: bus stops are equipped with underfloor heating, air conditioning and TVs.

Ancient period

In the Middle Bronze Age on the territory of modern Magas, the “North Caucasian cultural-historical community” was widespread. A significant number of archaeological sites of this culture have been studied in the construction zone of the city. Here, in the overpass zone, as well as under the mound of the 5th burial ground of Ekazhevo I and the mound of the 1st burial ground of Ekazhevo II, 26 burials of the Middle Bronze Age were discovered and investigated. The materials studied on these monuments characterize almost all stages of the development of the North Caucasian cultural and historical community, from the earliest stage of its formation to its final finale. By May 1997, 13 mounds, 43 separate burials, and three partially disturbed settlements were identified in the construction zone of Magas. In February 2001, near one of the buildings of the Ingush State University, an underground burial ground of presumably Sarmatian time was discovered. The discovered burial mounds (catacombs) of the Ekazhevo I burial ground are monuments of the early Alanian time of the 3rd – 4th centuries.  And at the site of the identification of two large settlements in the area of the access road, the researchers investigated four burials damaged during the construction, one of which contained a rich burial site of the late 5th century, the so-called Hunnic time - a rare find for the North Caucasus region.

3. Ruyan-city, Moscow region

Over the 7 years of its existence, this settlement has acquired an entertaining history. It was originally built in Siberia, near Tomsk. Since this summer, it moved to the vicinity of the Yaroslavl highway. In appearance and design, it is radically different from other settlements: houses here are built of wood according to Slavic customs, the streets do not have a permanent layout; besides, there are baths and a yurt here.

On the territory of Ruyan it is forbidden to drink alcohol. After all, the city is positioning itself not only as a tourist attraction, but, above all, as a platform for entrepreneurs.

Briefly, Ruyan is a project where a universal algorithm is laid down for the creation and development of socio-economic clusters using both the latest industrial technologies and wildlife. In other words, Ruyan is a multifaceted organism that combines the following functions:
  • A platform for ideological cooperation of people without borders.
  • The world capital of entrepreneurship.
  • A business laboratory and an open-air branding museum.
  • Training center with the best mentors and the most successful entrepreneurs in the world.
  •  Launch pad for business expeditions around the world.
  • The object of health and eco-tourism.
Ruyan does not oppose itself to existing systems - the state, region, and cities. It is part of Russia, but at the same time its best and most exemplary part. The rights and freedoms of man and citizen are recognized and guaranteed in accordance with generally recognized principles and norms of international law in accordance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation, legislation and the Code of the City.  The city is conceived as an effective model for the interaction of a community of creative, ambitious and patriotic citizens on the one hand, and federal, regional and local authorities on the other, and residents of settlements on the third. In this alliance, each of the parties gets a positive result, putting its efforts to the life support of the city. Ruyan is a fundamentally new model of the social, economic and cultural path of development of Russian regions.

What residents of the city get:
  • the opportunity to build a true life with your own hands, full of freedom, love and interesting affairs,
  • the opportunity to become part of an environment close to one’s views and at the same time a part of the real elite of the country moving it forward,
  • replenishment of the environment and the key to innovative business development technologies that are maximally protected from bureaucratic and administrative threats,
  • life in unity with nature, its beauty and gifts.
In addition to them, the city consists of residential areas and communications. The whole project consists mainly of innovation. The architectural concept of the city will be distinguished by its environmental friendliness and organic, individual binding of each construction object to the landscape. Ruyan has its own rules. Each resident and guest has common responsibilities in relation to the city, business, nature and other people. Without duties, there are no freedoms, and those freedoms that exist should not contradict the freedom of others and the integrity of the city.

Who is the project for?

Ruyan  is a city of young creators. Not by age, but by spirit: curious, active, talented creators of their future - people who know what they want and feel how to achieve it. These are entrepreneurs,   artists - the elite that creates new standards of quality of life.

4. Kub-A, Krasnodar Territory

This city,  with the name associated with  aroma of rum and sea winds is located near Krasnodar (just 5 minutes from the airport). According to its layout, it looks more like a park: 7 residential areas and a cultural and entertainment quarter are literally surrounded by greenery. In 2017, the first phase of buildings was commissioned.
