Vladivostok is cut up by bays and coves:  this beauty, as well as boulevards and century-old buildings   can be admired from various observation platforms.

Overview of the best platforms

A special platform at the Far Eastern State University: this observation deck is popular not only among tourists, but also among locals   - from here you can admire the central part of Vladivostok and the Golden Horn Bay. It is also worth exploring the monument to Cyril and Methodius. The upper station of the funicular is Eagle Mountain.

Lighthouse Egersheld (founded in 1876): travelers come here for one purpose - to snapshot a breathtaking view from the lighthouse (on the right side is the sea, on the left  - Russian Island). You can approach it by car (address: Verkhneportovaya Street, 40) or by boat   (mini-ferry or barge).

Alekseevskaya Sopka: this name was given to the place in the city center in honor of Prince Alexei Romanov - here the entire center is visible  (address:   Sukhanova Street).

Russian bridge: this bridge connects Russky Island (which implies an inspection of the remains of the Vladivostok fortress) with the mainland: despite the fact that pedestrians will not be able to climb the viewing platforms led by the stairs hidden inside each pylon of the bridge (sometimes photographers are allowed to  enter them), you will surely enjoy the views while driving  (address:  Barkhatnaya Street).

Sopka Kholodilnik (Refrigerator): at its summit, the  Muravievo-Amursky fort (built in 1901-1903) is located, as well as the observation deck with four guns, from where you can admire Vladivostok and Amurskaya bay (the hill is over 250 m high). It should be noted that paragliding fans choose this hill for their favorite sports, the mountain slopes are also used for cross-country and downhill racing, and on the eastern slope there are places for outdoor recreation.  Address: Przhevalsky street.

Ferris wheel on Sportivnaya Embankment: sitting in an open cabin (the  best time is in the evening, when the city is lit by numerous lights), travelers can admire the embankment itself, as well as the Ocean Cinema, Dynamo Stadium and part of the city center. Ticket price - 100 rubles (the attraction works only in the warm season).
