There are many different places in Moscow where people can relax, have fun or just spend their free time. Among all city parks, the Hermitage Garden, founded at the end of the 19th century by a Moscow merchant and a well-known patron of arts Yu.V. Schukin, has become a very special place.

Thanks to the efforts, perseverance and enthusiasm of Schukin, today there are various theaters (Sphere Theater, Novaya Opera Theater named after E.V. Kolobov, Hermitage Theater) and stage scenes (Shchukinskaya scene, Summer outdoor scene) in the Hermitage Garden. Besides, there are cozy cafes and restaurants, like a terrace of 32.05   in the garden. There is a garden fountain and several monuments here.

Also on the territory of the Hermitage Garden there is a Children's Playground, a Children's Club, the First Children's Media Laboratory, a  ballet studio, an art studio and a dance studio.

Drama Theater "Sphere" was founded in 1981. It is a small Moscow theater in the Hermitage Garden, where the stage has the shape of an amphitheater. One of the most  talented theatrical groups of Moscow perform here.

"New Opera"   Theater was opened in 1997. Currently, it is one of the three theaters located in the Hermitage Garden.

The Hermitage Theater is the oldest and most famous historical monument of the garden. It was founded in 1959 as the Moscow Theater of Miniatures.

An integral part of the Hermitage garden is the scene of Schukin. It is included in the list of cultural heritage. The open-air summer stage of the Hermitage Garden is a legendary place where, since its foundation, concerts on the  City Day and various holidays   are held.

Buildings in the Hermitage Garden  create an atmosphere of sophistication and special comfort – these are two garden cottages with cast metal patterns.

Since 2000, two sculptural monuments have been installed in the garden: the bust of Dante Alighieri, donated to the city of Moscow by the Italian government, and the bust of Victor Hugo, which was donated to the garden by the City Hall of Paris.

The Big Silver Heart or the Monument of "All Lovers" was established in 2006. The monument is made of metal pipes in the shape of a heart, inside which Japanese bells hang.

There are many secluded areas in the garden to have a great time, arrange a date with a loved one, relax with children, family, relatives and friends.

The garden is open around the clock, seven days a week. The entrance is free.
