New tourist entertainment complex Za Pskovye appears soon in the centre of Pskov, in the Zapskovye district. More properly, it will be situated next to Verhnyaa Tower and includes caffes, restaurants, Russian fairy tale museum and parkings.

A new tourist portal about Kamchatka will be presentes today in the city of Petropavlovsk – Kamchatsky, on the June, 16, at 16.00. The portal www.visitkamchatka.ru functions now in testing mode. Its contains all possible information about Kamchatka and tourist resources of Kamchatka Territory. English version of portal is awaited in autumn.

An unique nature complex of Curonian Spit in Kaliningrad Region may be used as tourist area. Administration of the region and administration of nature reserve have different opinions on the idea of tourist complex.

Air carrier of Air Baltic stops regular service Riga – Pskov because of it was uncalled. The flights were stopped in June with official comment that the services finished for a summer period. But it looks like the services won't be resumed. It was the unsuccessful second attempt to establish air service between Latvia and Pskov Region.

All consequences of oil products runoff in the Petrozavodskaya Guba bay of Onega Lake (Republic of Karelia) are liquidated. The spillage happened on the factory of Petrozavodskmash. A special block has been established on Petrozavodskmash disposal fascilities.
