The Russian Ministry of Justice  included into the list of foreign media agents  Voice of America and Radio Svoboda. The corresponding document is published on the website of the department.

In addition, seven more projects were added to the list of foreign agents, in particular, the television channel Nastoyasheye Vremya, Tatar-Bashkir Service of Radio Svoboda, Siberia.Reality, Idel.Reality, Factograf, Kavkaz.Reality and Crimea.Reality.

Those which are added to the list of media-foreign agents are supposed to be prohibited from entering the Federation Council, a source in the upper Chamber of Russian Parliament told RBK. "We are talking about nine media included in the list of the Ministry of Justice; they will be banned from entering the Federation Council," the source said. The ban will be discussed at the meeting of Federation Council on December 15, he added.

The law, allowing to recognize the media that have foreign funding by the foreign agents, was signed by President Vladimir Putin on November 25. On December 4, the President also ordered the Ministry of Justice to maintain a register of media recognized by foreign agents in Russia.
