The government supports a bill banning the production and sale of powdered alcohol in Russia. This is stated in the document on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“Such products will designate food or non-food products in the form of dry matter meant for manufacturing products in a liquid form containing ethyl alcohol” - the message noted. The Cabinet also supported another bill establishing liability for the production and sale of powdered alcohol.

The production or turnover of such products implies a fine on individuals in the amounts from 5 thousand to 20 thousand roubles, on officials - 20-50 thousand roubles, on legal entities - from 200 thousand to 500 thousand roubles.

On August 31 the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev stated that powdered alcohol was dangerous for human body, saying that the Cabinet supported the ban on its sale.
