Most Russian entrepreneurs prefer to cook at home, despite the lack of time. At the same time, almost half usually neglect breakfast and spend up to 1,500 rubles a day on food, according to the study "VKontakte for Business."
Almost half of Russian entrepreneurs (42%) usually do not eat breakfast. About a quarter of businessmen do not have time to have lunch, and 12% do not have dinner, and only every fifth businessman does not miss a meal, according to the results of the VKontakte for Business survey and the research company ResearchMe. The survey was conducted among 2704 owners of small and medium-sized businesses.
Two-thirds of Russian entrepreneurs like to cook their own meals, despite the busy schedule. Breakfast is cooked by 70% of the respondents themselves, lunch - 63%, dinner - 64%. Among those who do not cook themselves, only 12% say they do not know how to do this. The majority (58%) referred to a lack of time; a third of the respondents simply do not want to cook.
Every tenth business owner orders a meal for lunch and dinner. Most often this is pizza: 58% of the study participants prefer Dodo Pizza, 29% choose Domino’s Pizza and 25% choose Papa John's. Entrepreneurs usually spend between 500 and 1,500 rubles a day on food out of the home, almost half of the respondents mentioned the amount within these limits. The most wasteful businessmen live in Kazan: every fifth person spends an average of 2000 rubles on food there. In Moscow, for comparison, there are only 16%, in St. Petersburg - 13%.
A third of the survey participants admitted that they love fast food. In Samara and Novosibirsk, almost half of them. But in Kazan, on the contrary, 33% of respondents said that they completely refused junk food. In Russia as a whole, only 18% of businessmen monitor their nutrition.
Despite the love for pizza and other fast food, the most preferred among businessmen was Russian cuisine, 73% of respondents named it. Most of all they like national dishes in Rostov-on-Don, Omsk, Samara, Novosibirsk, Ufa and Voronezh. Among the favorites with a big lag are Georgian and Italian cuisines.
Finally, VKontakte for Business and ResearchMe noticed that grocery delivery from supermarkets is not very popular among entrepreneurs. On average, only 15% of respondents use it, in both capitals and Nizhny Novgorod a little more - about 25%. 68% of businessmen go to the shops themselves: most often in Auchan, Okay and Perekrestok.
