A lot of foreign tourists come to Russia in summer, many people visit Russia with the business purposes. Any way they need Russian visas.
To apply for a tourist visa to enter the Russian Federation foreign visitors need to provide an official tourist invitation and corresponding travel voucher with visa application.
Now providing the vouchers and invitations became a simple, fast and secure online process. The visa support is delivered by email as a single page document and is recognized by Russian Consulates worldwide allowing foreign visitors to apply for the visa with the consulate of their choice. Russian Tourist visas can be applied for within 90 days of the entry date requested on the visa support documents. With a tourist visa, generally you may stay in Russia for 30 days maximum during any one visit and only up to the maximum validity period of the visa in any event.
Russian visas issued by Russian consulates in Europe now have a five day “waiting period” before entering Russia, i.e. a person cannot travel to Russia for at least five days after the visa is issued. This rule has appeared sporadically and it seems to depend on a consulate you intend to apply to.
The applying for business visa is rather difficult process. If you want to apply for a business visa to enter the Russian Federation then you will need to provide an official visa support document from a certified sponsoring organization with your visa application. The visa support documents (letters of invitation) are applied for by your sponsor from the central migration services in Russia and take between 1 and 18 working days to process.
Our tour operators are officially accreditated by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and are licensed to provide the business invitations via a simple, fast and secure online process. There are 3 types of business visas – 30 day visa, 90 day visa and multiple entry visas.
Some more information
There are also some special points in Russian’s visa support.
The Russian authorities will not process applications for invitations for business and multiple entry visa support documents earlier than 45 calendar days from the start date requested.
A business visa can also be used for non business reasons such as tourism or visiting friends.
If you are traveling with the children and your children have a separate passport, you will need to get a separate visa for them. If your child is included in your passport then you will only need to pay an additional sum for the visa support fee per child.
Travel to the places of restricted passport control
If you are travelling to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk or other cities on Sakhalin Island invitations may take one extra day to process. This is a place of restricted passport control.
The Sakhalin local Authorities (Migration Department) exercise close control over all building sites, plant facilities, and other places where foreign citizens can work. If the Authorities find a foreign citizen working there on a business visa invitation processed by some "non local" company they will deport these people.
Thus, foreign citizens can enter Sakhalin on business visas if they intend to take a part in meetings, negotiations, conferences, but not for work.
