My friend in Moscow has been telling me about Mihail Chemiakin. His imprisonment in a soviet psychiatric prison.His time spent with the monks.His detoxification. And now his world wide recognition. Out of great upset and despair has come a great artist.Without passion and struggle there is no art.You have to believe in something.Othewise you rot inside.
