I am proud I am a descendant of this great Russian writer, playwright and diplomat. I can prove it by the pedigree I have inherited from my mother, Dr. Virginia Evgenyevna Poljakov, born 2 Oct 1927 in Leningrad, and from my great-grandmother, born 17 Sep 1871 in St. Petersburg.

Hello. I am a collector of world coins with composers on them, and now have the coin from Russia of 1995 honoring Aleksandr Griboyedov in my collection. While I can find out about his life, I have been unable to find information about his composing and what part of his life he composed.By any chance, would you have any information about this? Thank you so much. Alan Glasser
