New restrictions are being introduced in Russia due to the coronavirus. All Russians were ordered to wear masks in transport and public places, including elevators and parking, and restaurants and bars are not allowed to work at night.

The chief sanitary doctor of Russia Anna Popova signed a decree "On additional measures to reduce the risks of the spread of COVID-19 during the seasonal rise in the incidence of viral infections and influenza." The corresponding document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information. The resolution comes into force on  October 28.

According to the decree, a general mask regime is being introduced in Russia. Citizens are required to wear masks in public places, transport,  parking lots and   elevators.

Rospotrebnadzor also banned   entertainment activities and work of catering establishments from 23:00 to 06:00. In transport, taxis, shops, restaurants and theaters, the disinfection regime should be strengthened.

Over the past day, the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus recorded 16 550 new cases of infection in Russia. The daily mortality rate from COVID-19 broke the record on October 21 and was 320 people.

Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor said that February-March next year will be a period of a new aggravation of the situation with the spread of coronavirus. Return to the indicators of summer 2020, according to the forecast of scientists, is possible only by the summer of 2021.

The number of new cases of coronavirus in Russia continues to grow - in this regard, the authorities of different regions of the country are introducing new quarantine measures. And each area now has its own limitations.

So, in the Sverdlovsk region all sports events in institutions controlled by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Yekaterinburg are canceled. The document, signed by the head of the city's physical culture and sports department, Lyudmila Fitina, says that activities should be limited from October 26 to November 5.

New restrictions were also introduced in the Tula region - until December 31, 2020. Now residents of the region cannot hold mass events with the participation of more than 20 people. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

In addition, all billiard rooms, bowling clubs, nightclubs and karaoke clubs will be closed to the public from midnight to 7:00. Also, the halls of restaurants and cafes will not work during these hours.

Catering enterprises in St. Petersburg will not work at night - this measure will be in effect from October 26 to November 29. The corresponding changes to the resolution of the city government were made by the governor of the city Alexander Beglov.

Also, entertainment events are now prohibited in restaurants and cafes of the city - no live music, weddings or corporate events.

The activity of children's playrooms with an area of more than 50 square meters in trade and public catering facilities, as well as in shopping and entertainment complexes is also temporarily prohibited in St. Petersburg.

Meanwhile, the work of catering and clubs at night was also banned in the Novosibirsk region - establishments should be closed from midnight to 8 a.m.

A ban on banquets in cafes and restaurants has also been introduced in the Novgorod region.

In addition, it was decided that 5% of employees must be transferred to the remote operation mode.

“The norm of 30% of employees transferred to a remote mode remains advisory, but 5% will become mandatory,” the head of the region noted.

At the same time, it remains mandatory throughout Russia to wear masks and gloves, as well as to maintain a distance in public places and public transport.

The employers are advised to transfer the maximum possible number of employees to remote mode.
