More than 200 navigation signs will help the football fans to get to the stadiums of Moscow where the World Cup matches will be held, according to the official website of the Mayor and the government of the capital.
190 information boards and 30 “last mile” signs will have been installed by the beginning of the World Cup 2018 in Moscow. Navigation signs will show the city residents and tourists the way to the stadiums where the matches of the World Cup will be held - the Grand Sports Arena of Luzhniki and the “Spartak” stadium.
The signs of “last mile” will be printed on a bright yellow background to attract the attention of the fans driving cars and the drivers of customers’ groups. They will denote the main logistics points near the stadiums: checkpoints, parking lots, training grounds. “Last mile” signs will appear before the end of May in the radius of two kilometers around the stadiums, training grounds and other facilities involved in the championship. The signs will be installed for the duration of the competition. Information boards for car drivers in Russian and English will appear on the main thoroughfares of the city, including Leningradskoe, Volokolamskoe, Zvenigorodskoe highways, Moscow Ring Road, the Third Transport Ring, Leninsky and Komsomolsky Avenues. Thanks to them, it will be possible to find one’s way to the stadium.
