Saratov Region is situated on the south-east of the European Russia, in the northern part of the Lower Volga. The river of Volga divides the territory of a region in two parts, left bank area and right bank area. The waters of Volga are one of the main natural resources of the Region. Saratov Region is rather rich in different minerals as well. The climate of the region is moderately continental one, with rather prolonged, dry and hot summer and hard winter. Saratov Region lies in three climate provinces: forest-steppe, steppe and semi-desert.
