The region has a dense railway network, including the Trans-Siberian Railway, which passes through the Kemerovo region, and the Kemerovo spur of the West-Siberian Railway. There are two international airports in the region, Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk-Spichenkovo. The preferable mean of transport is plain, from considerations of the time-saving.
