This unique museum is the only one in Russia that tells about the history of circus art.
At present the museum has more than 80 thousand exhibits highlighting the development of circus art in Russia and abroad. These are visual materials, a unique library of books about circus in various languages (over 5000 volumes), relics associated with maestros of circus art, costumes, and props, including those of pre-revolutionary times. The museum collection also presents engravings of the 18th – 19th cc, paintings, drawings, posters, and sculptures.
The museum carries out extensive correspondence and exchange of materials with foreign circus artistes and collectors.
