Bashmakovo is an urban township in the Penza Region of Russia, the administrative centre of the Bashmakovo District. It has the railway station of Bashmakovo on the line Penza — Ryazhsk.
The township is located 169 km to the west of Penza and at the 541 km distance from Moscow. It stands on River Shirka, the right influx of the Poim River.
