    Zemetchino

Zemetchino is an urban township, the administrative center of the Zemetchin District in the Penza Region.

The township is located in the northwestern part of the Penza Region, at the 207 km distance from Penza, at the confluence of River Mashnya to Vysha.

Zemetchino takes the area of 1406 hectares.

Zemetchino was first time recorded in 1684 under the name of Rozhdestvenskoye Settlement. It got the status of an urban township in November, 1938.
