Kamenka is a Russian town, the administrative center of the Kamensk District in the Penza Region. It is the Belinskaya railway station of the Kuibyshev railroad on the line Penza-Moscow.
The town is located in the western area of the Volga Hills, on the banks of River Atmis, 75 km away from Penza. The highway Penza-Tambov runs near the town. Kamenka takes the area of 24 sq km.
The settlement of Kamenka was founded in the 18th century. Kamenka became an urban township in 1944 and a town in 1951.
The old part of Kamenka is located on the banks of River Atmis and is built up with one-storey houses mostly. The new part of the town with multi-storey buildings was built in 1941 in connection with construction of the Belinskselmash Plant. In the center of the new part there is a park, the former palace of Voyeykov and monuments to V. G. Belinsky and M. Yu. Lermontov.
