Toropets

Toropets is a Russian town in the Tver Region. It is located in the west of Valday Upland, at the source of River Torop from Solomeno Lake, 332 km to the west of Tver.

It has a railway station. Toropets is a popular tourist center. Picturesque lakes of Ukleyno and Kudinskoye in its neighborhoods make it so attractive.

The town with the population of 12 290 people (as of 2014) takes the area of 22 sq km.
