Khokhlovka is an open-air architectural-ethnographic museum in the Perm District of the Perm Territory, one of the best places to see the splendor of Russian wooden architecture. The museum representing monuments of wooden architecture of the Perm Region of the 17-early 20th cc. is located nearby Khokhlovka village, on the picturesque high bank of the Kama River, 45 km away from the city of Perm. Founded in 1969, it has been opened for visitors on September, 17th, 1980. It is the first open-air museum of wooden architecture in the Urals. In the area of around 35-42 hectares there stand 23 unique monuments - various wooden buildings and constructions brought there from different places and representing the best samples of national building and art culture of the Ural Region. Lots of the architectural monuments house stylized ethnic interiors and exhibition centers. Khokhlovka Museum is a branch of the Perm Regional Museum.
It is one of the most popular tourist centers in the Perm Territory. A range of various ethnic and cultural festivals are regularly held in the museum.
