Vadim Yurievich Stepantsov was born  in Uzlovaya town of the Tula Region on 9 September 1960.

In the late 1980s - early 1990s Vadim Stepantsov gained fame  as the author of hits of the band “Bravo” and performer of the songs of his own band "Bakhyt-Kompot".

Connoisseurs of poetry know him as an ideologist and the head of the Order of Courtly Mannerists, a poetic movement created by him in 1988. The Order has published over 40 collective and individual books, including prosaic ones. In the recent years Vadim Stepantsov released a few volumes of his own. Since the late 1990s Vadim attained popularity as a TV showman and a guest at various talk shows.
