Janna Friske was born in Moscow on July 8, 1974. As a school girl she was actively engaged in school amateur performances. From childhood she was into ballet, sports dances, acrobatics, and rhythmic gymnastics. After finishing school Zhanna entered the Choreography Department of the Moscow Culture Institute and studied by correspondence at the Law Faculty of the Moscow State University. At the same time she worked as a dance teacher in the Sports Palace.
In 1995 Zhanna Frisle became a member of the new pop music band Blestyashie. Soon she quit her studies to concentrate completely on music career.
The band was a success and thanks to numerous music videos and her appealing looks Zhanna Friske turned into one of the sex symbols of Russian pop music.
In 2003 the singer participated in the reality show Last Hero-4 and successfully reached the final part. Right after this victory Zhanna Friske left the band to undertake a solo career.
July 8, 2004 (her birthday) saw the release of the first movie featuring Zhanna Friske: it was the screen version of Sergey Lukyanenko’s fantastic novel The Night Watch, where she played a witch lover of the main antagonist Zavulon. It is remarkable that Zhanna Friske performed numerous stunts in movies herself, in many respects thanks to her excellent physical shape. After her film debut Zhanna played in other popular films, namely The Day Watch (2005), The First at Home (2007), Who Am I? (2010), and What Men Speak About (2010), starring Zhanna playing the role of herself.
In 2005 Zhanna again participated in the reality show Last Hero-5.
On October 4, 2005 her debut solo album under the title Zhanna was released.
The star modeled for various magazines, including Playboy, Penthouse, Maxim and Elle. In 2006 the singer became the face of the Japanese company ORIENT WATCH.
In 2011 — 2012 Zhanna Friske was the host of the first two seasons of the reality show Vacation in Mexico on MTV channel.

In April 2013 the star gave birth to her son in Miami, where she had preliminary bought a mansion for the occasion.
In 2014 Zhanna Friske was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer of the 4th stage. With support of her family and thousands of fans she underwent serious treatment in Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in the USA and then in China. Zhanna Friske died at the age of 40 on June 15, 2015.
