Valery Alexandrovich Kipelov was born on July 12 in Moscow. In school days he studied in a music school, majoring in bayan. He made his first steps in a musical career in the band Krestyanskie Deti (Peasant Kids) which mostly performed on holidays and weddings. Valery Kipelov is known as the vocalist of the rock band Aria for 17 years — from 1985 to 2002. Kipelov's voice was one of the major factors that determined the band’s success. After a tour around Germany in 1994 Kipelov had some conflicts with his band members and left the band. Since 2002 Kipelov has been heading his own band.
