Fyodor Sergeyevich Bondarchuk was born on May, 9th, 1967 in Moscow, into the family of the famous film director Sergei Fedorovich Bondarchuk After finishing school in 1985 he entered the film directors’ faculty at VGIK (All-Union Institute of Cinematography), where he studied under Igor Talankin for 1 year. Afterwards he was drafted and served the army in Krasnoyarsk and then in Taman. In 1987 he resumed his studies at the institute, at the same time filming in the epopee Stalingrad directed by his tutor Yuri Ozerov.
Fyodor Bondarchuk studied together with many future figures of the Russian cinema: Tigran Keosayan, Bakhtyar Khudojnazarov, Ivan Okhlobystin, Aleksandr Bashirov, Rashid Nugmanov, and others. At the same time at the scriptwriters’ faculty there studied Renata Litvinova, Roman Kachanov, and others. Subsequently Fyodor Bondarchuk continued friendship and cooperation with lots of them.
After graduation from VGIK Fyodor Bondarchuk founded the producer company Art Pictures Group, which 14 years later turned into the film company Art Pictures Studio organized jointly with the producer Dmitry Rudovsky.
Fyodor Bondarchuk shoots films, music videos and commercials and produces various musical, cinema and art projects. At the same time he works as an actor and a television anchorman.
