In 1910 Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva published her first book of poetry at her own expense. In 1922 her book Mileposts made up of poems written in 1916 was published. Tsvetaeva’s tragedy started with her first steps in literature. That was a tragedy of solitude and non-recognition.

One of Tsvetaeva’s last works was her poem “Ne umryosh, narod” (You will not die, people) which justly finished her creative path. It sounds as damnation of fascism and glorifies the eternity of people who fight for their independence.

The poetess committed suicide by hanging herself.
