Russian innovation allows seeing underwater objects as if water around them doesn’t exist.
Scientists from the Institute of Applied Physics and the Institute of Oceanology developed a calculation procedure for underwater observations, which eliminated water from calculations. In simple words, researchers analyze data, excluding various obscuring factors, and “see” objects as clearly as through air.
New technique can be adapted to various environmental conditions, for instance, sea bottom and underwater objects can be observed through stormy seawater. The innovation helps choosing the right strategy of sea bottom exploration, studies and etc.
