First transplantation of an artificial heat in Russia was performed in Moscow Science Centre of Cardio-Vascular Surgery.
      
      Operation, performed by Leo Bokeria, director of the Centre and well-known surgeon, lasted for 6 hours and was a success – the patient will soon be able to walk and return to her everyday life. The only inconvenience of this model of artificial heart is its accumulator, which weighs 10 kilograms and requires recharging every 12 hours.
      
      Surgeons say that they would replace artificial heat with donor organ as soon as possible. Artificial organs are a good solution for those, waiting for donor organs.
