After Canadian astronomer published images of “Lunokhod-2” moon rover, which was lost long time ago, fathers of Soviet lunar programme said that the rover has never been lost.

Scientists have always known where the rover had found its last asylum, one of creators of Soviet Moon exploration programme said. Researchers are very happy that coordinates of the rover, which were determined several tens of years ago, are in good correspondence with recent updates.

Scientists made this announcement in response to Phil Stooke’s recent “discovery” of “Lunokhod-2”, which was said to be missing for 37 years.
