What’s New in Science of St. Petersburg

Here are some innovations, which were born in the Russian “Northern capital” “Northern capital”.
      
      Research fellows from the department of control theory of St. Petersburg State University developed unique diagnostic software for explaining data of SPECT system (gamma-tomograph). Developers used special mathematical tools and advanced computer technologies, which makes this software much more attractive that its analogues.
      
      Another scientific group from St. Petersburg developed a two-stroke rod end combustion engine. The engine is a new ecologically friendly type of power generator, which weighs little and helps saving energy. This engine can be used as a “hybrid” engine in cars, motor boats and agricultural machinery.
