A memorial to Viktor Tsoi - the legendary leader of the rock band Kino - will be set up in Saint Petersburg; the decision has been approved by the city governor.
      
       The monument is expected to be mounted in the Aleksandrino forest park soon, in spite of the fact that the city legislation permits to eternize a person’s memory in stone only 30 years past the person’s death. The foundation slab of the monument will be established this summer.
      
      It is interesting to note that the idea of setting up a monument to the rock-musician has been considered for two years already. The relevant letter with this request was written by Viktor Tsoi’s parents, and his fans supported the idea. Initially the memorial was supposed to appear near the sports complex SKK Peterburgskii, but Saint Petersburg administration did not agree to that.
