Companies to supply main systems for new Russian middle-range aircraft MS-21 were recently announced.
Avionics systems will be supplied by Russian “Avionics” company and American “Rockwell Collins” corporation.
Integrated command system of the aircraft will be produced by joint venture of Russian “Aviapribor-Holding”, French “Goodrich AS” and American “Rockwell Collins” corporation.
As for propulsion power plant, American Pratt & Whitney’s advanced reduction motor PW1000G satisfied MS-21 designers. Moreover, MS-21 programme will utilize engines, developed by domestic engineers.
MS-21 programme includes construction of short and middle range aircrafts, first of which is expected to start flying in 2016.
