Russian inventor suggests the technique for building hydroelectric power plants without constructing a dam, which is always a terrible damage to nature.
The idea is solving the problem of making hydrostatical pressure high enough for generating electrical energy without building a dam. The inventor suggests withdrawing water in river upstream, then taking it down via pipelines to the place, where generator is installed. Discharge liquid can either return to the river, or head for another unit, located downstream.
Therefore, we will have a cascade of micro-HPPs, connected in series. Russian authorities believe that the idea won’t work for large HPP, but is perfectly applicable to mountain rivers, which often destroy dams with rocks.
