Safety rating of the Russian air carriers composed by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has been announced by the Federal Air Transport Agency. The rating was composed under the scheme of Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft Programme (SAFA).
      
      The rating was created on the basis of the inspections’ information. Documents of the crew members, real mode of an aircraft, existence and mode of the obligatory cabin equipment, traffic load and flight documents as well.
      
      As a result of the inspections, carried out from the October, 24, 2008 till October, 29, 2009, the following air carriers of Russia should be recognized as most secure ones: Ural Airlines, Sibir (S7) and Aeroflot. The popular air charter carriers like Transaero, VIM Avia and Tatarstan found themselves in the middle of the rating, some other companies – even in the Red List. Among them are Vladivostok Avia, Bashkortostan, Volga-Aviaexpress and Dagestan Airlines. It means that they are in the risk zone.
