The troublesome financial and economic situation and the lack of proposals from the interested organizations compelled the Moscow administration to renounce an idea of creating a water-taxi service in the crowded Russian capital.
The idea was suggested in 2006 and supposed buying the vessel park, including which should include the units for 1, 2 and 5 passengers. The passage could cost from 400 to 700 rubles per hour, and that is comparable with the taxi prices in Moscow. The target groups for the service were the tourists, the people living in the cottage settlements on the Moscow River, just-married couples and business users.
The Moscow administration hopes to go back to this idea in days to come, when the things change.
