Alla Pugacheva Song Theatre to be Built in Petersburg

A plot for the would-be 100-meter building of Alla Pugacheva’s Song Theatre has been already allocated at Morskaya Embankment of the Vasilyevski Island.

The architectural concept is ready: a concert hall seating 4.5 thousand viewers will be put next to a 100-meter sky-scraper in the shape of Russian letter «Ï» (just like the first letter of “Pugacheva”). The latter will house a business centre, studios, apartments for VIP guests and Alla Pugacheva herself, as well as a hotel for guest stars.

The project developers assure, however, that the building’s shape is related neither to the pop-singer’s surname, nor to her title of “Prima donna”.
In a month the project will be considered at the city planning council of Saint Petersburg. In 2010 the building construction is expected to be launched. The project costs about 250 million dollars.
