The Private Collections Department of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts opens an exhibition of porcelain of the 17th – 20th cc from the Russian Art Foundation of Yuri Traisman.
The exhibition includes about 250 items, most of which are small figurines of the Soviet period. Heroes of revolution, science and labor, famed figures of culture, frontiers and playing children, figurines depicting various peoples of the USSR or scenes from happy peaceful life are porcelain embodiments of the myth of the great and beautiful country.
The exposition represents works by 50 best porcelain artists and about 20 centre of porcelain production. The exhibition will be open on September 30.
