Ural Archeologists to Continue Search of Remains of Tsarist Family

Ural archeologists have made a sensational announcement: they assume that not all the remains of the last Russian Emperor’s family members have been found so far. So the search must be continued.

According to the Director of History and Archeology Institute of the Ural Department of RAS, Academician Veniamin Alekseyev, the cinder mass in the pit with remains of Cesarevitch Alexei and Princess Maria on the old Koptyakovskaya Road is too small to think of the full incineration of their bodies in this place. As for bone remains of Alexei and Maria, inexplicably few of them were found.

“It affords ground for assuming that there were several burial pits, and the remains were scattered in several places” – Veniamin Alekseyev stated.
