October 8, 2009 will see the opening of Ivan Turgenev Museum in a house in Ostozhenka Street.
      
      According to some data, it was in this house where Ivan Turgenev had written his famous story Mumu . The building has undergone face-lift. The restoration process will be carried out gradually, without any need to close the museum.
      
      The visitors of the museum will see an original exposition, which will include interior items and lifetime portraits of the writer.
