Four ancient denarii made of silver have been found in the Novgorod Kremlin. The coins dating back to the 11th century were brought to Novgorod from Saxony, archeologists assume.
      
      The find was made by participants of the Novgorod archeological expedition in the excavation near the Faceted Chamber.
      
      Large-scale diggings by the Faceted Chamber of the Novgorod Kremlin, the oldest of all known Russian monuments of secular architecture and the most eastern Gothic construction in the Old Rus, were launched in June 2008. Since then archeologists have unearthed over a thousand finds.
