Rosneft evaluated
30.05.2005 00:00

Rosneft is a business worth between $20bn and $28bn, reported Morgan Stanley as a result of its evaluation ordered by Rosimushchestvo, Russian Property Agency. Yuganskneftegaz was included in the bill as well.
Rosimushchestvo acknowledged the evaluation was performed in compliance with national standards. But Andrey Sharonov, deputy economic development minister, does not seem to be at ease, believing the range is way too wide.
The fact is that earlier the assessment bank provided almost the same figures accepted by the officials. The previous evaluation placed Rosneft somewhere between $21.7bn and $25.8bn.
Anyway, there is a report from 2K Audit due soon, while the authorities remain undecided over the price.
